It was supposed to be Spring riding weather, but the March meeting and ride turned out to be a meeting only for most. Dennis decided he could sneak a ride in before the weather really turned bad, but all agreed that it would not be a good day for a group ride down the freeway.

The weather was cold and yet some of the members were in a sweat. Maybe we need a prescription from the good doctor to cure a bad case of PMS (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome).

Maybe, as Marshall suggested - we need to perform some sort of sacrifice to the motorcycle gods to see if maybe we can get some good riding weather.

Well, hang on to your handlebars. We know spring is just around the corner and with it
will come many more memorable rides with good friends in beautiful places. Patience, patience! |

The meeting was great - our first this year at Full Throttle. After a few announcements, Marshall mentioned what a great group we had and what true friendship he feels for the members of the chapter. We then watched a video made by Steve McPhee that brought us back to the first years of the club. This was followed by a picture show provided by Mark Petersen that represented the various years of the club. Karen Christensen also brought some of her many photo albums for us to look through. The memories were all around as we celebrated the Fifth Anniversary of Chapter 152 with a very tasty cake.
Karen gave us an update regarding the Angel Ride. Help is needed calling on sponsors to get their donations for this year. The committee hopes to be able to name the Angel child for this year very soon. They are also trying to find a location to end the ride that will be in the shade. The mascot was introduced and the name was decided on - Dennis Star Bear.
During the past couple of weeks, many members participated in the logo contest for the chapter logo. There was a lot of interested and a winner was decided. It was announced that the winner was submitted by a student at Eagle Gate College and featured a motorcycle riding out of a snow covered mountain background. Unfortunately, the motorcycle was a Harley VRod - and while it is a nice bike - was not a Yamaha. Steve mentioned that the artist will be happy to change the bike to a Yamaha so we can get approval from International. Once the new logo is approved by Star, we will adopt it for tshirts, etc.
It was great to see everyone again and hopefully, next time we meet it will be for a ride!
