Hear Ye! All chapter meetings are held on the first Saturday
of every month, 9:00am, at Carey's, 4450 S 700 West, Riverdale, UT - rain or
shine! Our chapter will ride at every meeting, every month, weather
permitting. If the weather isn't permitting, we'll have breakfast at Moore's
Restaurant, 2490 S 1900 West.
This year we have decided to try
something a little different from previous years. We will now be ending all of
the day rides at lunch and those riders that would like to call it a day can
then return back home and those who would like to continue riding may do
so. Rides will be planned for the whole day.
Another thing that we will be
doing this year are "Dinner Rides" and a couple of Sunday rides so that our good
friends at Carey's Cycle will be able to join us.
MAY 17th (Sunday)

Ride to be determined. Fred
Betz will be planning and will also be our Road Captain for this event.
I'm
planning on the 4-pass ride which is one of the most fun routes I've
been on. The passes we
will ride through (over, about, upon) include Weston, Sardine, North Ogden
Divide,
and the old Snowbasin road.
If you want to count Weber Canyon, make it the "5-pass ride." We'll be
stopping in the Logan area for lunch. - Fred
JUNE 6th (Saturday)

Meet at Carey's Cycle at 9
am. You will need a sack lunch for this trip, you may bring one from home
or you can pick one up in Logan. We will head up Hwy 89 to Brigham City and
then on through Sardine Canyon to Logan. Stop in Logan for those who will be
getting a sack lunch there. Head on up Logan Canyon to Tony Grove for lunch
and end the
official ride. For those who
would like to continue, the (Road Captain

Kip) will be continuing
on to Bear Lake and will stop in Garden City for milk shakes. Then continue
on around the south end of the lake through Laketown and on over through
Randolf and Woodruff over Monte Cristo to Huntsville for dinner at the Star
Bar.
JUNE 10th (Wednesday)

Meet at Carey's Cycle at 6:30
pm. We will be taking a short ride to Layton to go check out a car show and
have dinner. Chuck Muston will be planning this event and further details
are to come.
JULY 11th (Saturday)

Meet at Carey's Cycle at 9
am. Due to the 4th of July we have pushed back this ride to the 11th. We
will head up Weber Canyon to Morgan and then take off and go over East
Canyon to Mtn Dell Canyon to Parleys Canyon and take Hwy 80 to Hwy 248 over
to Kamas for lunch and end the official ride. Those who would like to
continue, we
will be going over Wolf Creek Pass past Tabiona and turn on Hwy 208 and then
turn on Hwy 40 back to Heber City. Then we will continue on Hwy 40 and turn
off on Hwy 80 back through Echo, Morgan, Weber Canyon and on home. (Road

JULY 16th (Thursday)

Meet at Carey's Cycle at 6:30
pm. We will be riding up Weber Canyon to Taggarts for dinner. (Road

AUGUST 1st (Saturday)

Meet at Carey's Cycle at 9
am. This will be the Mirror Lake Ride. Kip Casper will be the Road Captain
for this ride. We will ride up Weber Canyon, the take the back roads past
Morgan, Hennifer, Rockport Reservoir, and on up to Kamas. At Kamas, we
will pick up some fuel and a sandwich lunch to go. Then up onto the
Uintah highway. We'll ride over the summit and down the back side.
Then instead of continuing on to Evanston, we'll just turn around and head
back up the highway. We'll be stopping for a picnic lunch at one of
the campgrounds, hopefully by one of the lakes. We'll call the ride
there. There will be a group riding over Wolf Creek Pass and back,
time and weather permitting. Hope to see you there.
AUGUST 18th (Tuesday)

pm. We will be traveling up Ogden Canyon to the Oaks for dinner. (Road

SEPTEMBER 5th (Saturday)

Meet at Carey's Cycle at 9
am. This ride will be our "Biscuits & Gravy" run to Park City and from
there we will travel to Salem down by Spanish Fork to do some wine and
cheese tasting. More info will follow. (Road Captain - Scott
Allen).
OCTOBER 3rd (Saturday)

Meet at Carey's Cycle at 9
am. We will be traveling south to ride over the Alpine Loop and hopefully
there will be some good picture taking opportunities
for fall
colors. More details will

NOVEMBER 7th (Saturday)

am.
Last year we had a beautiful run on the first
Saturday of November. With our climate though, it's anybody's guess whether
we'll get to ride or not. The route will be determined accordingly.
Breakfast at Moore's is always an option.

riding in December have happened. Breakfast at Moore's is our probable
destination, though.
