Star Chapter 279 of Ogden, Utah is the local affiliate of the Star Touring & Riding Association. Chapter 279 came into existence early in 2003 to promote motorcycling in Northern Utah, and to give Star riders in the "Top of Utah' a place to call home.

Ogden proudly played host to StarDays 2003, Star Touring & Riding's annual national rally.  Located adjacent to the magnificent Wasatch mountains, Ogden is the gateway to some of the most scenic and fun-to-ride back country highways anywhere.

Chapter 279 is sponsored by Carey's Cycle Center, located at 4450 South, 700 West in Riverdale, UT. Brad, Caron, and the rest of the staff are very enthusiastic and supportive. Their sales staff are the best!

We meet at 9:00am every first Saturday of the month, rain or shine. (Of course, we prefer shine!) We have a brief chapter meeting, enjoy a cup of coffee and a donut, then saddle up for the days' ride. Our chapter day rides typically run from 5-6 hours, with breaks for scenery, lunch, laughing, joking, etc.  During the riding season, our day rides cover northern and central Utah, as well as southern parts of Idaho & Wyoming. During the off-season, our "day rides" include a chapter meeting, and, weather permitting, a group ride.  Otherwise, it's breakfast at Moore's.
